Minor Planet Occultations

(426) Hippo on 13 September 2025

The large main belt asteroid (426) Hippo – with a diameter estimated to be about 138 km – was mag +13.5 and bright enough to be seen as a fainter streak in the star trail as it passed in front of the mag +12.1 star in this 25 s drift-scan exposure.
