Minor Planet Occultations

(799) Gudula on 22 January 2024

The asteroid was mag +13.5, only slightly fainter than the mag +13.2 star it passed in front of, making the drop in light relatively difficult to see. The Scanalyzer analysis below picks out in the weak signal the fall and subsequent rise in brightness as the asteroid's shadow passed over the telescope.
