Minor Planet Occultations

(1093) Freda on 08 March 2019

Great Shefford was just outside the predicted shadow path of Minor Planet (1093) Freda but the actual path was shifted about 31 km south, allowing a 6.6 second occultation of the magnitude +13.1 star UCAC4 512-053810 to be recorded.

Screenshot of drift-scan measurement using Scanalyzer (see page by John Broughton, Reedy Creek Observatory, Australia here)

Chord diagram from euraster.net showing positive results from 6 observers in the UK and the ~31 km shift south from the predicted path which put Great Shefford within the shadow
