Minor Planet Occultations

(156) Xanthippe on 29 October 2018

Minor Planet (156) Xanthippe approached the magnitude +11.9 star UCAC4-409-131091 from the west and this 8' x 6' field shows a 20 second drift scan exposure just as the asteroid's shadow passed over the observatory, blocking out the starlight for nearly 6 seconds.
